A Message From the Mayor
Welcome to our beautiful City of Easley!
Easley is an exciting, growing community with an outstanding quality of life and a rich history! Founded in 1874, our community has grown from a railroad town and textile center, to our present status of being the economic and residential center of Pickens County and a popular destination in the upstate of S.C.
In addition to the Woodside Mill and the Silos, one of our more popular recreational attractions is the 8.5-mile-long Doodle Trail, transformed from the old Pickens Railroad line, that welcomes over 300,000 users per year! Access this trail in the center of downtown while visiting many of our local shops, restaurants, and other businesses. In addition, we offer community and regional parks like the Doodle Park and the Nalley Brown Nature Trail, for hiking or a quiet getaway to picnic and relax.
You’ll also be able to enjoy athletic offerings for children and adults alike at our J.B. Red Owens and Pope Field sport complexes. Once a year Easley is in the world spot light as we welcome national and international teams, hosting the Senior League World Series!
We are proud of our excellent schools and provide a wide variety of places to call home! We encourage you to enjoy some of our local flavor, including our shops, restaurants, the Farmer’s Market, Fourth of July Festival, and numerous community events. Be sure to stop by the downtown business area and amphitheater, as they are community favorites.
We hope that whether you are visiting, or considering making it your home, that you experience the Easley that we all love!
Sincerely,
Lisa Talbert, Mayor
