GPATS - TRAFFIC SURVEY
Planning & Development
Due to changes in the recycling market, items can no longer be picked up curbside like the City of Easley has collected in the past.
The City of Easley does offer two attended recycle drop stations to help prevent items from being contaminated. If recyclable items are contaminated the items will be sent directly to the landfill.
In order for these recycling stations to continue collecting, all items must be separated by type:
· Number 1 and number 2 plastics with bottle caps removed.
· Cardboard with all plastics and other packaging materials removed.
· Glass types do not need to be separated.
· Paper products (this includes drink cartons)
· Aluminum and tin cans (cans must be empty)
· Household garbage is accepted at both sites.
Certain items cannot be accepted at the City of Easley recycle stations but may taken to the Pickens County recycle stations or landfill. These items include:
· Oil
· Chemicals or chemical based products
· Paints
· Electronics.
· Furniture or appliances (Call Public Works office prior to Thursday for a pickup (864)855-7916)
These recycle drop centers are open Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri., & Sat. from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and closed Wednesdays and Sundays. Recycle stations are located at the Operation and Maintenance Facility at 801 Pope Field Rd, and the second station is located behind City Hall at 201 W A Ave. (Holidays may affect days of operation)
Please feel free to contact the City of Easley’s Public Works Department with any questions or concerns. We are located at 801 Pope Field Rd, Easley SC 29642, or you can give us a call at (864)855-7916.
Thank you.
