Play Has No Limits

Coming to Downtown Easley

We are thrilled to announce that during the City Council meeting held on November 10th, the council officially approved the development of the Downtown Easley Inclusive Playground!

Join us in creating a playground where every person belongs. This universally designed play space will bring individuals of all abilities together to play, explore, and grow — right in the heart of our community.

Take a look at the video below, which showcases the park design!

Why Now

As our community continues to grow, the demand for thoughtful, inclusive recreation grows with it. Families are looking for public spaces that celebrate diversity, support sensory needs, and promote social connection. By moving forward now, we have the opportunity to create a flagship play environment that reflects our community values and sets the standard for accessibility in the Upstate.

Investing in this playground today ensures that every child who visits Downtown Easley is welcomed fully—able to participate, explore, and thrive. This is our moment to make a lasting impact for generations of families, and with your support, we can bring this vision to life at a time when it is needed most.

Key Features of the Easley Inclusive Playground

  • Accessible Play Equipment: Designed for children of all abilities to promote physical, social, and cognitive development.
  • Universal Design: Ramps and accessible surfacing ensure full participation for children with varying mobility and sensory needs.
  • Wheelchair Charging Stations: Two stations support visitors using power mobility devices.
  • Seating & Supervision: Strategically placed benches provide safety and gathering spaces for families.
  • Shaded Areas: Structures and tree coverage create a safer, more comfortable environment for all users.
