2024 Easley’s Got Talent Guidelines

Event Schedule:

  • Talent Show: August 16th

Auditions:

  • Auditions will be conducted via video submissions from May 6th through July 16th.
  • There is no fee for submitting audition videos.
  • After video submissions are completed, acceptance notifications will be sent via email on July 23rd. Only 10 contestants will be accepted to participate in the talent show on August 16th.
  • Group performances are limited to a maximum of 8 participants (only one form needs to be filled out per group).
  • The City of Easley reserves the right to refuse any act or talent.

Event Rules:

  1. Hold Harmless Clause: Participants and attendees agree to hold the City of Easley harmless from any liability arising from participation or attendance at the talent show.

  2. Acts of God: In the event that the talent show is postponed, canceled, or otherwise affected by circumstances beyond the control of the City of Easley, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, or other Acts of God, the City of Easley reserves the right to make necessary adjustments to the schedule or format of the event. Participants and attendees acknowledge that in such circumstances, refunds or compensation may not be available.

  3. No Weapons or Fire: Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited.

  4. Privilege and Rights Clause: The City of Easley reserves the right to make changes to the schedule, rules, or any other aspect of the talent show as deemed necessary.

  5. Non-Discrimination: The City of Easley does not discriminate based on race, gender, age, religion, or any other protected characteristic.

  6. No Profanity: Absolutely no profanity is allowed during performances.

  7. Performance Length: Performances should not exceed 5 minutes in duration.

  8. Approved Talents: Talents may include but are not limited to singing, dancing, instrumental music, skits, magic, comedy, martial arts, and juggling. Lip-syncing is not allowed.
  9. Minors' Participation: Acts involving any member under 18 must have written consent from their parents or legal guardians.

Prizes:

  • Judges will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

Additional Notes:

  • Participants are to showcase family-friendly entertainment suitable for all ages.
  • Any technical requirements or special arrangements needed for performances must be communicated in advance to the event organizers.
  • Participants are responsible for their own props and equipment.
  • If selected as a contestant, individuals aged 18 or older will be required to undergo a background check.
